Improve your confidence and self love by following and listening to these points.

  1. Get to know yourself

“When going into battle, the wisest general learns to know his enemy very, very well. You can’t defeat the enemy without knowing him. And when you’re trying to overcome a negative self-image and replace it with self-confidence, your enemy is yourself.” Leo Babauta. In order to improve your self confidence, get to know yourself better and begin listening to your thoughts. Try and observe your negative thoughts and when they come change them to something you love about yourself. The limitations you’ve put on yourself are not real limits. Decide which ones you’ve created on your own through your own insecurities.

2. Set a small goal and achieve it

Don’t get discouraged if you haven’t reached your larger goals and dreams. Set something more achievable for the time being so when you are able to achieve it you will feel great and strong in yourself. Once you start owning your smaller goals then you will feel more confidence to start working on your bigger goals and dreams.

3. Learn more and empower yourself with knowledge!

It’s no lie or secret that knowledge is power. It is a great way to build self confidence and to also feel competent and valuable. By doing research and studying you can build on what your passionate about, whether it’s for work or even a hobby. “The Internet is a great tool, of course, but so are the people around you, people who have done what you want, books, magazines, and educational institutions.”

We’re all on a path to learn how to love ourselves more and be more confident. These are very simple exercises, but with them you’ll start to feel empowered and more in control of the way you see yourself. Practice talking positively about yourself, let go of negative thoughts and energy and remember to always smile!
